Tea Party Patriots Action Slams Biden Administration Decision to Extend Federal Public Transportation Mask Requirement

Atlanta, GA – Today, the Biden Administration is extending requirements for travelers to wear masks on airplanes, trains, ride share vehicles, and in transit hubs, according to media reports. The decision extends by two weeks the current mandates that were set to expire April 18.   In response, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement: “The CDC’s latest decision is wrong. Just days ago, the CDC declared it would lift Title 42 – the Trump-era policy allowing the quick expulsion of migrants at the southern border because of the pandemic — because it was no longer needed.  Now, it’s extending the federal mask mandate on planes, trains, ride share vehicles, and in transit hubs that never should have been required in the first place.  So, according to the CDC, the pandemic is over for illegal aliens but it’s not over for working Americans.  Meanwhile, a Covid-positive Nancy Pelosi kissed President Biden at a party last week, so we’re reminded how rigorous the DC elites enforce these rules among themselves.  ‘Covid mandates for thee, but not for me.’  Once again, the CDC’s decision-making is based not on science, but on political science. It’s time for the House to join the Senate in passing legislation repealing this horrendous mandate.”

Tea Party Patriots Action Urges Senators to Vote “No” on Jackson Supreme Court Nomination

Atlanta, GA – Today, the U.S. Senate is expected to vote on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court.  Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: "There is no mystery to how Judge Jackson will vote as a Supreme Court justice if she’s ultimately confirmed. Her record as a judge makes clear her predilection for choosing the preferred outcome and then working backwards to find a legal justification for it, rather than simply following the meaning of the Constitution and the law wherever they may lead. This means Judge Jackson will be on the wrong side of key issues facing our country, including the Constitution’s limitations on government’s authority, the Second Amendment, vaccine mandates, and imposing proper sentences on criminals. No Senator who believes in our Constitution should vote for Judge Jackson.”

Tea Party Patriots Action Reacts to OSHA’s Decision to Officially Withdraw Private Employer Vaccine Mandate

Atlanta, GA – Today, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) officially withdrew its vaccine requirement for private employers with 100 or more employees. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement:  “This is a big win for freedom, and a big loss for the Biden Administration. Vaccine mandates – whether at the federal, state, or local level – are a direct affront to our freedom.  Indeed, opposing these mandates is one of the most pressing issues facing our country today.  TPPA has been a leader on this issue from the start, and has helped organize more than 500 protests nationwide against the mandates. We were also a coalition partner of the ‘Defeat the Mandates’ rally in Washington, DC, and other cities last weekend.  We will continue opposing vaccine mandates.  No politician or faceless bureaucrat should ever make medical decisions for you or your loved ones.” TPPA published op-eds and many calls to action for its grassroots activists week after week, including asking activists to leave comments on the government website against the mandate.

Tea Party Patriots Action Slams Senate Democrats for Trying to Break the Senate

Atlanta, GA – Today, Senate Majority Leader Schumer is having the Senate vote to break the filibuster in order to pass two pieces of legislation: The DC Takeover of Elections to Make It Easy to Cheat Act, and the Pelosi Power Grab. Nearly every Senate Democrat is expected to vote in favor of breaking the filibuster. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: “Senate Democrats should not tamper with what has worked for more than 230 years. As Senator Manchin pointed out last week, never in the entire history of the United States has the Senate brought debate to a close with a simple majority. There is a reason the Founders gave us two legislative chambers, not one, and there is a reason one of them works by majority rule and the other works by supermajority rule. We urge every Senator to vote against breaking the filibuster, because breaking the filibuster would break the Senate. This should never have been brought up for a vote in the first place.”

Tea Party Patriots Action Reacts to Split Supreme Court Rulings on Vaccine Mandates

ATLANTA, GA – Today, the Supreme Court overturned the Biden Administration’s OSHA vaccine mandate for private employers but upheld the CMS vaccine mandate for health care workers. Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement reacting to the Supreme Court rulings: “The Supreme Court got it half-right today by overturning the Biden Administration’s OSHA vaccine mandate for private employers. That ruling is a massive win for the Constitution and the notion of limited and enumerated powers, and for freedom in America. However, the Court’s decision to uphold the CMS vaccine mandate for health care workers is still a significant blow to freedom. No one should lose his or her job over his or her vaccination status. The Supreme Court’s job is to defend Americans when our basic liberties are under attack. The Court failed the approximately 17 million Americans who are covered by the health care worker mandate.”

Georgia Leaders & Tea Party Patriots Action Release Statements about President Biden’s Speech in Atlanta Today

ATLANTA, GA – Today, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin and several Georgians who are part of the Georgia election integrity coalition that Tea Party Patriots Action is building released statements in response to President Biden’s speech in Atlanta. The statements are listed below: "The Democrats lied about the Georgia election reform law. Now they are lying about the Right to Cheat Act and the Pelosi Power Grab - two bills they want to ram through Congress because they know those bills will turn a temporary governing majority into a permanent one."   - Jenny Beth Martin, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman *** “The Tenth Amendment to the Constitution provides states sovereign rights. This includes their right to control their own elections! The Tenth Amendment is what protects us from a tyrannical government! The states joined the Union on the condition of states' rights. “We have already witnessed the disastrous policies of the Biden Administration, created by the far-left establishment in DC who want to turn our country into a ‘one-party’ socialist country, take away the power of the people, and give it to the government.  They know that controlling our elections is their only hope to stay in power and complete their goal of making America a communist-controlled country! We can't let that happen. How is that working for Cuba?  Venezuela? Russia?” - Salleigh Grubbs, Chair, Cobb GOP *** “We have heard no concerns from the Biden / Harris administration in regards to the real election integrity issues in Georgia such as:   “Removing the voting system that a U.S. District Court found to be illegal;Getting access to publicly inspect Fulton County mail-in ballots that senior poll managers have sworn are counterfeit;Helping to achieve accountability for state and county actions that destroyed over a million...

Tea Party Patriots Action Hopes SCOTUS Will Shut Down Biden’s Lawless Vaccine Mandates

ATLANTA, GA – The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments today on the Biden Administration's vaccine mandates. Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement:  “It is time for the Supreme Court to finally shut down President Biden’s lawless mandates requiring hardworking Americans to get vaccinated, succumb to rigorous testing, or be fired from their jobs because they want to make their own decisions about what goes into their body. The Constitution does not give the president the legal authority to issue such edicts. If the President can force people to be fired from their jobs, where does it end? What is the limiting principle? Particularly at a time when we are still recovering from the damage done by lockdowns — see, for example, the disappointing news jobs report — our government should not be making employment even more difficult. Let's hope the Supreme Court does the right thing and protects Americans from this outrageous government overreach.”

Tea Party Patriots Action Calls on McCarthy to Strip Cheney & Kinzinger from GOP Conference Membership

ATLANTA, GA — Today, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) called on House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy and the House Republican Conference to immediately strip Representatives Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger of their conference membership.  TPPA Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released this statement: “As members of the January 6 committee, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger have become willing agents of Speaker Pelosi’s war on President Trump, Trump Administration officials, and Trump supporters.  The January 6 committee is a partisan exercise designed to punish our former President and discredit the 74 million Americans who voted for him. “The Republican Conference must stop allowing the Democrats to give the false appearance of bipartisanship in the committee.  Membership in the Republican Conference is not a right, it’s a privilege.  Cheney and Kinzinger have forfeited that privilege. The Republican Conference should make it official and remove them from the conference immediately.”

In January 6 Committee Dispute, Tea Party Patriots Action Supports a President’s Right To Receive Confidential Advice

ATLANTA, GA — Today, the House of Representatives will hold a vote on whether or not to hold former Congressman and White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in criminal contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena from the January 6 Committee. In anticipation of that vote, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released this statement: “Presidents need to know that they can rely on their advisors to give the president their best counsel, without fear that the advice will be revealed years later. That axiom is as old as there have been presidential advisors, and our law long has recognized this executive privilege. “What the January 6 Committee is doing now, in seeking to criminalize this dispute, is simply an extension of the political warfare launched by congressional Democrats years ago, when they executed not one, but two attempts to remove President Trump via impeachment. “We urge all Representatives to stand up for the principle of separated powers and vote against the resolution.”
