Tea Party Patriots Action Press Releases
Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement in response to Republican Senators blocking the Democrats radical ‘Freedom to Cheat Act’: “Today, the Senate voted on the radical ‘Freedom to Cheat Act’ and thankfully Republicans blocked the bill from advancing. In recent months, states like Georgia, Texas, Arizona, and Florida have strengthened election integrity by making it easy to vote and hard to cheat. The 'Freedom to Cheat Act' would undermine these state-led improvements by making easier to cheat in all 50 states. Tea Party Patriots Action will continue to fight against any left-wing attempts to fundamentally change how our election process works.”
Tea Party Patriots Action Responds to Biden Admin Proposal Tracking All Transactions on Bank Accounts with More Than $600
ATLANTA, GA – Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement responding to news that the Biden Administration has proposed legislation that would require all banks to report to the IRS account information on bank accounts with a balance of $600 or more. “The Biden Administration apparently wants to compound its previous failures by proposing legislation that would require all banks to report to the IRS account information on bank accounts with a balance of $600 or more, regardless of whether it is a personal or business account. That’s virtually every bank account in the country. This is a contemptible invasion of privacy that would affect almost every single American who has a bank account. The IRS has politically persecuted conservative organizations, including ours. Any plan to give that organization even more power to threaten and intimidate Americans must be resoundingly rejected, defeated, and never proposed again."
Tea Party Patriots Action Praises DeSantis Selection of Dr. Joseph Ladapo as Florida Surgeon General
Atlanta, GA –Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Dr. Joseph Ladapo will serve as the next Surgeon General of his state. TPPA Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: "I am very pleased that Governor DeSantis has selected Dr. Joseph Ladapo as the next Surgeon General of Florida. I have had the honor and privilege of working with Dr. Ladapo over the past year, and I have seen first-hand that he is a well-researched, well-credentialed medical doctor with strong character and leadership traits. He is well-spoken, thoughtful, and as his Wall Street Journal op-eds have demonstrated, he has a gift for communicating medical information to the public in a factual and persuasive manner. I thank Governor DeSantis for selecting Dr. Ladapo, and I congratulate Dr. Ladapo on this honor.”
Atlanta, GA – Wednesday, September 22, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) will hold nationwide protests against Democrat-led mandates for COVID vaccines and masks. As of Monday, there are 28 confirmed “Just Say NO” events in 17 states and a few dozen more are being finalized. A list of the main events can be found at StopMedicalMandates.com. TPPA Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: “President Biden’s outrageous vaccine mandate is firing up the grassroots, and we are channeling that energy into a ‘Day of Action’ for those who are ready and eager to stand up for their constitutional rights. No American should be forced by the government – or anyone else, for that matter – to put something in their body they don’t want to take. Nor should anyone be required to wear a mask, especially our children when they’re in school. The growing number of mandates are not about public health, they are about control. They are about trying to replace the doctor-patient relationship with a government-patient relationship, and that’s just wrong. Politicians at all levels are seeing how much they can get away with, and hoping to set precedents that will extend the reach of government even further into our lives permanently. Our protest events this week will show them that large numbers of Americans reject that line of thinking, and will not acquiesce to this would-be tyranny.” On August 28, TPPA held its first “Day of Action” against medical mandates by holding protests in 79 cities and towns across the country. In addition to her organizing work with TPPA, Ms. Martin is a mom of boy-girl twins who just began their first year in college. Tea Party Patriots Action Blasts Pelosi for Betraying Fallen Heroes & Americans Stranded in Afghanistan
Atlanta, GA – Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats blocked Members of Congress from reading aloud the names of the service members who sacrificed their lives in Afghanistan in the recent terrorist attack, according to Republican Representatives. Additionally, Pelosi and House Democrats blocked a vote requiring President Biden to produce a plan to rescue American citizens left stranded in Afghanistan. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: “President Biden has disgraced himself and dishonored our nation. Now Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats have joined him in disgrace and dishonor. They have shown their true colors by betraying the memory of our fallen heroes in Afghanistan, and quickly forgetting the hundreds of Americans still stranded in that country, thanks to President Biden’s disastrous withdrawal. We cannot forget our fallen heroes, and we must do everything we can to get every single American who wants to leave out of Afghanistan. Democrats want to sweep this catastrophe under the rug as quickly as possible, but the American people will not allow it. Shame on Nancy Pelosi for betraying the memory of our finest, and those who continue to need our help.”
Atlanta, GA – On Thursday night, the Texas House passed SB1, landmark legislation to strengthen election integrity in the Lone Star state. The Texas Senate passed the bill earlier this month. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: “The vast majority of Texans, like the vast majority of Americans, want voting laws that make it easy to vote and hard to cheat, so we thank the Texas legislators who voted for this landmark bill. We are excited that Governor Abbott will sign the bill into law. The legislators who voted for SB1 deserve credit for resisting a nationally-coordinated left-wing pressure campaign, which included a publicity stunt in which scores of their colleagues fled the state for weeks. Texas will soon join other states such as Georgia, Florida, and Arizona, which also recently strengthened their voting laws. As we move forward in other states and at the national level, we will continue to work for legislation to ensure that our elections are free, and fair, and secure.”
Atlanta, GA – Today, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement in response to House Democrats' refusal to openly vote on a free-standing budget resolution to make possible the spending of $3.5 trillion: “The Democrats' absurdity continues. House Democrats have once again ducked their responsibility to be open and transparent about what they’re doing. They 'deemed' the budget resolution passed by wrapping it up in a separate rule, rather than holding a free-standing vote on a resolution that would make possible a spending bill that will spend more money than any bill in the history of the U.S. government. If they really had the courage of their convictions, they would proudly vote for a budget resolution that funds their priorities. Instead, they play parliamentary tricks to hide their reckless spending and job-killing tax hikes. It’s outrageous!"
Atlanta, GA – Today, the U.S. House passed H.R. 4, also known as the “Pelosi Power Grab.” In response, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: “H.R. 4 — AKA the ‘Pelosi Power Grab’ — is the radicals’ latest attempt to centralize election administration in The Swamp. It would require that federal bureaucrats preapprove changes to virtually anything that could impact elections, from redistricting down to the placement of stop lights. It would create a system in which virtually every election district in the nation would be subject to orders from Washington. Worse, it is premised on fixing a ‘problem’ that no longer exists — it was fixed long ago. Any right-thinking person who understands the Constitution’s instructions that elections are a matter to be administered by state and local governments should be offended by this proposed legislation, as we are. We urge members of the House to vote against and defeat this absurdity. The battle to preserve election integrity continues, and our activists will not give an inch.”
Atlanta, GA – On Saturday, August 28, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) will hold nationwide protests against Democrat-led mandates for COVID vaccines and masks. As of today, Tuesday, more than 60 “Just Say NO” events have been organized for Saturday in cities small and large across the nation. To learn more about the “Just Say NO” campaign, click here.TPPA Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: “Enough is enough. Vaccine and mask mandates should offend every American. Mask mandates in our schools don’t help children, and can actually cause harm to them as they develop. Wanna-be tyrants are loving this moment in history, and will continue rolling back our rights unless we the people start speaking up and making our voices heard. That’s the purpose behind Saturday’s events: to remind the wanna-be tyrants they work for us, not the other way around. We will stand and speak up for ourselves, our children, our communities, and our country. We will not be silenced. Not now or ever.” In addition to her organizing work with TPPA, Ms. Martin is a mom of boy-girl twins who just graduated from public high school. She engages with her local school board in Cherokee County, Georgia, attending local school board meetings, researching issues, informing parents, and sending letters to the school board. Senators Manchin and Sinema Should Take Their Concerns with $3.5T Budget Reconciliation Bill Seriously, and So Should Everyone Else
Atlanta, GA – Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement in regards to Senators Manchin and Sinema expressing their concerns with the Democrats’ $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation bill. “Our nation is already more than $29 trillion in debt as we speak, yet Democrats continue to ramp up the reckless spending as they push for a $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation bill. Senators Manchin and Sinema have raised serious concerns about this bill. Sinema said last week she would not vote for $3.5 trillion, and Manchin said this morning that it is ‘simply irresponsible to continue spending at levels more suited to respond to a Great Depression …’ They are absolutely right. There's no need to spend another dime after, as he noted, we've already pumped $5 trillion in new deficit spending into the economy over the past year. As if on cue with his stated concern about inflation, today's Consumer Price Index report shows a big spike in inflation, which is a hidden tax on everyone. But will Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema hold to this? Will responsible actions follow their words? They and other sensible Democrats, as well as all Republicans, must unite to stop the reckless spending right here, right now."
