Tea Party Patriots Action Applauds SCOTUS Ruling Overturning Roe v. Wade
Atlanta, GA – On Friday morning, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) issued its ruling in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, ruling that the Constitution does not confer a right to abortion. As a result, Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey were overruled. Authority to regulate abortion is now returned to the people and their elected representatives.In response, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement: “Today’s Supreme Court ruling is a victory for constitutional governance. The Constitution is silent on the matter of abortion, and the Supreme Court that issued the Roe ruling 49 years ago was simply wrong when it did so. With the issuance of today’s ruling, the five members of the Supreme Court who joined to overturn Roe have courageously taken a stand in defense of constitutional principles, and we applaud them for it. The question of abortion now goes back to the states and to the democratic process, where it should have been all along.”
Tea Party Patriots Action Slams Gun Control Bill, Opposes Passage
Atlanta, GA – On Tuesday night, the Senate voted to advance a gun control bill that, among other things, provides grants for states to implement ‘red flag laws’ and makes 18-20 year olds wait longer to exercise their constitutional rights. Fourteen Senate Republicans joined Democrats in voting to advance the legislation. Senate Majority Leader Schumer says he expects to pass the bill before the Independence Day recess. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement: “When House Minority Whip Steve Scalise was asked if he supports ‘red flag flaws,’ he said they ‘happen to be unconstitutional.’ If that’s good enough for Scalise – who was shot by a deranged gunman five years ago – that should be good enough for the rest of us. ‘Red flag laws’ are unconstitutional and impractical. Connecticut was the first state to implement a ‘Red flag law’ in 1999 but it didn’t stop the Newtown shooting in 2012. Furthermore, 18-20 year olds should be able to fully exercise their constitutional rights, and it’s appalling that fourteen Senate Republicans voted to gut those rights. What part of ‘shall not be infringed’ do they not understand? If Senate Republicans can’t hold the line now, how can we expect them to hold the line if they win the majority in November?” While Ms. Martin’s two children were in high school, two would-be shooters were planning an attack on the high school and were caught before the attack. Tea Party Patriots Action Applauds Victory for Free Speech and Dissolution of Biden Administration’s Orwellian Disinformation Governance Board
Atlanta, GA – Today, the Washington Post reported that the Department of Homeland Security's Disinformation Governance Board (DGB) has been put on 'pause,' following criticism to the Biden's administration's pick to lead the department, Nina Jankowicz. Jenny Beth Martin, Honorary Chairman of Tea Party Patriots Action, has issued the following statement in response: “If the Washington Post is correct, the Disinformation Governance Board is dead. Good riddance. “ Beyond that, this is a remarkable piece of journalism. In the act of leaking to Washington Post all the behind the scenes details of how the DGB was poorly rolled out and then improperly defended, the Biden Administration is engaging in what may be an even larger and more insidious act of disinformation — the notion that the DGB’s purposes were noble, and it fell only to the deliberate lies of a bunch of right wing crazies. "In fact, the DGB never should have been established in the first place, because it is not the government’s job to monitor and police political speech in America. The First Amendment declares that ‘Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech.’ It does NOT say ‘Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech except for that speech the Biden Administration deems impermissible or even politically inconvenient.’ “Oddly, this DGB was supposed to be powerful enough to combat foreign operatives and global disinformation campaigns. For three weeks, the Biden Administration has scolded us that this was all about foreign disinformation. But some domestic ridicule shut it down? Really?"
Mandated Community Masking for Airborne Respiratory Viruses
In response to the current CDC guideline recommending mask or respirator use over nose and mouth on public transportation for ages 2 and up, the Global Covid Summit Organization of over 18,000 verified Physicians and Scientists strongly recommends the permanent suspension of the federal mask mandates for all public transportation, airports and airplanes. The body of evidence is clear. Masks of all types are ineffective and potentially harmful. There has never been an instance during this pandemic where face coverings were appropriate tools within the Community to mitigate infection or viral spread. The potential harm includes lowering blood oxygen and raising carbon dioxide. These, among others referenced below, such as self and cross contamination, are important safety concerns particularly at high altitudes in close quarters. Industrial Hygiene experts in addition to Global Covid Summit scientists, have held this position from the outset and continue to oppose the government and CDC’s stance on this policy. Stephen Petty, CIH, CSP, PE 45-year professional Facial coverings do not dilute, destroy or contain airborne hazards and are not considered by CDC or OSHA to be Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Even the new ASTM mask standard [ASTM F3502-21- Standard Specification for Barrier Face Coverings (BFCs)] states that masks are not PPE and are not protective; therefore, facial coverings are not part of the Industrial Hygiene (IH) Hierarchy of Controls. The primary mechanism for transmission declared by CDC (May 7, 2021) is through airborne aerosol particles and not, as previously stated, by fomite or respiratory droplets. Atlanta, GA – The CDC paid for location data harvested from tens of millions of cell phones to track compliance with lockdown measures, according to a new report. Tea Party Patriots Action Targets 5 Vulnerable Senate Democrats on Title 42 With New AlignAct Campaign
Atlanta, GA – Today, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) launched an AlignAct campaign to mobilize its three million members to pressure five vulnerable Democrat Senators to do more than spout empty words about Title 42 and instead actually take action to keep Title 42 in place. The Biden Administration is ending Title 42 – the Trump-era policy allowing the quick expulsion of migrants at the southern border because of the pandemic. Without Title 42, illegal crossings will more than double to an estimated 18,000 per day. Atlanta, GA – Today, a federal judge in Florida voided the national mask mandate covering airplanes and other public transportation as exceeding the authority of U.S. health officials. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement: “Judge Mizelle’s ruling is a long awaited and welcome victory for freedom. The federal public transportation mask mandate was heavy-handed, intrusive government at its worst – imposed by politicians and bureaucrats whose only interest was maniacal control of the American people. It was never based on science, it only spread fear among the traveling public, and it was never in the best interest of our country. We give special credit to the airline CEOs who testified before Congress that the mask mandate was unnecessary and then wrote a letter last month urging the administration to lift it, and we call on them to immediately observe the judge’s ruling and return permanently to mask free travel. Tea Party Patriots Action Slams Biden Administration Decision to Extend Federal Public Transportation Mask Requirement
Atlanta, GA – Today, the Biden Administration is extending requirements for travelers to wear masks on airplanes, trains, ride share vehicles, and in transit hubs, according to media reports. The decision extends by two weeks the current mandates that were set to expire April 18.
