Atlanta, GA – Today, Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge, 73^rd Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives) passed away.  He was 68 years old.  Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement:

“I knew David Ralston for over two decades.  In 1998, I volunteered on his statewide campaign for Attorney General.  He always treated my family and me with kindness and respect.  He had a long and distinguished career in Georgia government, serving nearly two decades as Georgia Speaker. I appreciate his service to the people of Georgia.  My prayers are with his family as they grieve and mourn him.”
