Atlanta, GA – Finally, after a week of waiting, we have the results to show that Republicans will take control of the U.S. House of Representatives. Also, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced she would be stepping down as Democratic leader.

TPPA Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement:

“We’re thrilled that Republicans took control of the House, because now there will finally be a check on Joe Biden’s power. Republicans are in for a tough two years as the country’s many problems have only piled up under the leadership, or lack thereof, from Biden and Democrats. The crisis at the southern border has grown to disastrous proportions while Democrats have stood by doing nothing. There have been well over 2 million illegal border crossings this year alone. That number is potentially on track to reach 3 million by the end of 2022. The state of the economy is just as bad as the state of the border. Biden’s colossal amount of government spending has fueled inflation to its highest rate in 40 years, with the willing support of Democrats. Now with Republicans leading in the House, we can begin to work on fixing the many failures of Biden and the Democrats, as well as opening numerous investigations into the closing of schools, actions to shut down political speech opposing the Biden Administration and its policies, the Biden family’s foreign business dealings, and more.
