Tea Party Patriots Action Reacts to Biden Celebration of Inflation Reduction Act Anniversary
Atlanta, GA – Today, President Biden is delivering remarks on the one-year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, the $750 billion health care, tax and climate bill he signed into law last year. In response, Tea Party Patriots Act (TPPA) Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: “Only in Washington would spending $750 billion that we don’t have be considered an ‘Inflation Reduction Act.’ It’s Orwellian and the American people are not fooled by it. One year after signing his signature bill, inflation continues to be an albatross around the necks of the American people. We’re continuing to experience the worst inflation since the Jimmy Carter era. Inflation rose in July and it will likely continue to rise in August as gas prices eat a bigger hole in our wallets. Biden and his Democrat allies in Congress who passed this bill on a party-line vote should be embarrassed to publicly celebrate this economic disaster.”

Atlanta, GA – In yet another sweeping overreach, former President Trump and 18 other individuals have been indicted by the Fulton County District Attorney. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: “President Trump's legal team spent weeks collecting affidavits — sworn testimony — from eyewitnesses who claimed to have personally seen election irregularities during the course of the 2020 election in Georgia. I am appalled and outraged by yesterday’s indictment, which is now the fourth prosecution of Trump by Democrats. “There was nothing illegal in President Trump’s activities in Georgia. During the recount, the President rightfully pointed out irregularities in Georgia voting – irregularities confirmed directly from eyewitnesses, as well. When the president called the Georgia Secretary of State, he was asking Secretary Raffensperger to aggressively locate and weed out irregularities; he did not ask the Secretary to do anything illegal, either directly or indirectly. “When it comes to the issue of Georgia’s electors, this is another attempt by Democrats to criminalize the political process and to criminalize First Amendment protected speech. The Trump campaign had a right to organize his electors, which could be either accepted or rejected by the U.S. Congress, as specified in the Constitution. “This is the worst abuse of power in Georgia in my lifetime. Our country is being tested in ways we have not seen in many generations, but we must have courage and we must not lose hope.”

This is the now the third prosecution of Trump by Democrats, with a fourth prosecution expected by Fulton County’s DA any day now. Meanwhile, the DOJ wants to give Hunter Biden a sweetheart deal and is covering up for ‘The Big Guy’s’ possible bribery and classified documents negligence. Conservatives experience persecution, while Democrats escape prosecution. “President Trump did not conspire with anyone to break the law. “President Trump did not orchestrate a riot. Atlanta, GA – Today, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the Biden administration’s $400 billion student loan bailout. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement: “We thank the six justices who stood strong for one of the Founders’ foundational doctrines – the separation of powers, a principle that is necessary to the prevention of a tyrannical government.“Before today, the Supreme Court had already overturned several major Biden policies because the Court determined that Biden had overstepped his Constitutional authority and usurped congressional powers. Those cases included the eviction moratorium, reinstating the Remain in Mexico policy, and the Covid vaccine mandate for private employers, among others.“Congress never authorized the president to cancel the student loan debt of some 43 million debtors. In fact, Congress explicitly chose not to authorize it – not once, but twice.“And within the last two weeks, both chambers of Congress explicitly voted to reaffirm their own power of the purse, and repeal Biden’s student loan bailout. Even more, the legislation they passed would prevent the Secretary of Education from launching any similar program in the future.“This was a high-stakes case and the Court decided correctly. The Biden administration’s ‘green agenda,’ which includes banning gas stoves, is an outrageous left-wing assault on everyday American life. Incandescent lightbulbs, for example, are on the verge of extinction, thanks to a Biden rule taking effect July 1 that will raise their cost and make their manufacture prohibitively expensive. Washing machines and air conditioners are also on the Biden hit list – all to placate environment radicals. This is an appalling abuse of power that should outrage every American. First, Democrat DA Alvin Bragg manipulated existing law to prosecute Trump in a case where the statute of limitations had already expired. Now, President Biden’s Justice Department is prosecuting Trump for allegedly mishandling classified information when it’s already a matter of public record that Biden and Hillary Clinton did the same thing, and in the Clinton case, much more egregiously. The FBI whitewashed Clinton’s crimes and the FBI will surely do the same thing for Biden. The Democrats are playing a dangerous game, siccing law enforcement on their political opponents. This is not the America we know. It’s a disgrace.”

This bill prevents the Consumer Product Safety Commission from regulating gas stoves as a banned federal product or issuing a product safety standard that makes gas stoves substantially more expensive. Atlanta, GA – Over the weekend, President Biden and Speaker McCarthy brokered the Fiscal Responsibility Act to resolve the debt ceiling standoff. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: “The debt ceiling deal is a rotten deal for Americans, and every Member of Congress should vote against it. President Biden got the better end of the deal and Republicans in Congress should hold the line and vote against it so a better deal can be struck. We were promised $4.8 trillion in spending cuts over a decade. In fact, that’s what House Republicans passed last month. Now, instead, we learn that Speaker McCarthy negotiated adding $4 trillion to the debt over the next 18 months. Our nation is in a perilous situation with the debt. It’s unconscionable that a Republican Speaker is negotiating with President Biden to add to the national debt. “Our message to all Members of Congress is to vote no on the Biden-McCarthy debt deal, and to those who vote for the Biden-McCarthy deal: We will not forget it.
