Forced Organ Harvesting: China's Donors Are Prisoners. A Kidney in Days | Dr. Torsten Trey
Forced organ harvesting in China is the subject of this Surviving Communism interview, and Dr. Torsten Trey has spent twenty years proving it is real. Forced organ harvesting means a one-party state takes the kidneys, livers, hearts, and corneas of prisoners of conscience, and the donor does not survive. Dr. Trey is an internist who grew up in West Germany with the Berlin Wall in view. In 2006, while redoing his medical license in America, he read that a Chinese surgeon had confessed to removing the corneas of 2,000 Falun Gong practitioners. Chinese doctors at a Boston transplant congress that July told him where the organs came from, and that summer he founded Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting. With Jenny Beth Martin he explains why the Chinese Communist Party outlawed a practice of 100 million people overnight, how detained practitioners were blood-typed so a donor match took ten minutes, why Uyghurs supply halal organs for patients from the Middle East, and why he fears China's 50 million Christians are next. He describes a donor registry that gained 25,000 names in one day, an island where foreign patients arrive without a visa and leave without a discharge letter, and a Boston transplant professor who emailed fifty doctors to skip his forum. It ends in Congress, where a bill against forced organ harvesting is now bipartisan in both chambers. In China a transplant patient can get a kidney in days. The question is where it came from. teapartypatriots.org jennybethshow.com
