Atlanta, GA – This week, the 2024 National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) results were released, showing that American students are testing at historic lows across K-12. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement:

“The NAEP results are a wake-up call for parents, educators, and policy experts: the Covid-era school closures, demanded by Dr. Fauci and the teachers’ unions — clearly, the Dumb and Dumber of the education policy debate — have been a catastrophe for our students. We still haven’t dug ourselves out of that hole. Additionally, the spread of CRT and other social justice indoctrination at the expense of genuine learning is a new front in the battle for our children’s education that demands our full attention. 

“President Trump and Secretary McMahon understand the stakes, know how to fix these systemic problems, and will give our children a fighting chance. We stand with President Trump and Secretary McMahon as they clear the rot from left-wing education bureaucracies and restore our education system back to its original mission: educating the next generation of Americans, giving them the tools to succeed in a highly-competitive, fast-changing world.”
