Atlanta, GA – Today, the House approved two articles of impeachment against DHS Secretary Mayorkas for his failure to secure our southern border and his lies to Congress about his failure to do so. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: 

“We thank the Members who voted for Secretary Mayorkas’ impeachment. This is an important step in holding the Biden Administration accountable for its purposeful failure to secure our southern border, which, to date, has allowed at least seven million illegal aliens to enter our country. Now comes an equally important task: Senate Democrats must give Mayorkas a legitimate trial, as the Constitution demands. Any attempt by Senate Democrats to delay the trial or dismiss the charges before any trial begins would be a fundamental failure to live up to the Senate’s responsibilities. “
