TPPA Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement:
“President Trump understands the threat posed by the Iranian regime, and our poll confirms that the American people do as well. A clear majority of voters believe the United States was right to take military action against Iran’s leadership to protect American lives and deter future attacks. Eighty-seven percent of Republicans agree.
“For nearly half a century, the Iranian regime has sponsored terrorism, threatened our allies, and repeatedly targeted Americans. The American people know that weakness only enables more aggression from regimes like Iran’s.
“Our poll shows that Americans not only support the actions that were taken, but they also believe the United States must finish the job to protect our country and our allies from the ongoing threat posed by the Iranian regime.
“Protecting American lives should always be the top priority for our leaders. The American people understand the stakes, and they expect our leaders to stand strong against hostile regimes that threaten the safety and national security of the United States.”
