Atlanta, GA – Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund Chairman Jenny Beth Martin today released the following statement announcing the endorsement of Mike Rogers to represent Michigan in the United States Senate:

“Michigan needs a warrior in the United States Senate, and Mike Rogers is that warrior.

“In Congress, Mike fought to make education savings plans free of federal taxes and pushed that measure into law. And he stood for healthcare freedom when he championed health savings accounts for low-income families covered by Medicaid and pushed that measure into law.

“Mike served as Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and worked to safeguard Americans from terrorist threats and hostile foreign interests. He understands the threats we face and knows what we must do to counter and defeat them.

“He shares our values: personal freedom, economic freedom, and a debt-free future.

“His opponent, Abdul El-Sayed, does not. In fact, Abdul El-Sayed campaigns with Hasan Piker, a radical extremist who said ‘America deserved 9/11, dude’ – and Abdul El-Sayed has refused to disavow those repugnant views.

“That’s extremism taken to an extreme degree. That refusal alone should be enough to disqualify Abdul El-Sayed from service in the U.S. Senate.

“On behalf of Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund, I am proud to endorse Mike Rogers for the U.S. Senate from Michigan, and I urge every Michigan voter to make a plan to vote for Mike Rogers in the November 3 general election.”
