Atlanta, GA – Today, the House Homeland Security Committee will mark up articles of impeachment against DHS Secretary Mayorkas for his failure to secure our southern border. Ahead of the committee meeting, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement: 

“The border crisis is undeniable. Not only are we seeing new record-breaking numbers of illegal alien encounters every month, but also a disturbing increase in individuals on the terrorist watch list apprehended at our southern border. Who knows how many of those individuals have gotten through without our knowledge?  

“Worse, it is clear the crisis is the result of deliberate policy choices.  

“The committee is right to pursue impeachment, as Secretary Mayorkas has blatantly refused to enforce our laws and betrayed the public’s trust. To restore accountability and protect our nation, Mayorkas must be impeached.”
