Last Friday, Special Counsel John Durham alleged in a court filing that lawyers for Hillary Clinton’s campaign paid a technology company to hack servers in former President Trump’s residence and office and campaign headquarters in Trump Tower — and, later, the White House — to create a false narrative linking Donald Trump to Russia. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement:

“This latest court filing is beyond shocking. The extent to which Donald Trump’s opponents were willing to go to smear him in the service of Hillary Clinton’s highest campaign aspirations is beyond outrageous. Trump said that he was spied on during the 2016 campaign and while he was President. The media scoffed at the time, but it appears Trump was correct. Durham’s new allegations are incredibly disturbing, and the American people deserve to know more.”
