January 18, 2024 Atlanta, GA – Today, the House Homeland Security Committee held a hearing titled “Voices For The Victims: The Heartbreaking Reality Of The Mayorkas Border Crisis.” This is the second and final hearing to kick off the impeachment process for DHS Secretary Mayorkas. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: “This was a very powerful hearing, in which multiple witnesses shared their first-person accounts of the border crisis – an unnecessary crisis fueled by the failures of Secretary Mayorkas to enforce the law. The story of Josephine Dunn, who lost her daughter Ashley to fentanyl at age 26, was particularly heartbreaking. One of the committee members, Democrat Representative Dan Goldberg, responded to Ms. Dunn’s testimony by lecturing Ms. Dunn and berating her. Goldberg would rather attack a mom who buried her own daughter than confront the harsh realities of Mayorkas’ humanitarian disaster. Mayorkas himself was not at today’s hearing. If he took his job seriously, he would have come and testified and listened to the witness’ stories. Tea Party Patriots Action Urges House Committees to Find Hunter Biden in Contempt of Congress
January 10, 2024 Atlanta, GA – Today, the House Judiciary Committee and the House Oversight and Accountability Committee are considering a resolution recommending that the House find Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress, after the president's son failed to comply with a subpoena for closed-door testimony and instead held a press conference on Capitol grounds. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement: “This is a no-brainer: The president’s son willfully ignored a congressional subpoena, and then salted the wound by holding a press conference on the grounds of the Capitol to drive home his point — that he’s a Biden, the son of the president, so he’s safe, and he can ignore the rules that bind the rest of us. He believes he’s not going to be prosecuted by a Biden-appointed U.S. Attorney, so he believes he can taunt the congressmen who are conducting an investigation into his family’s corrupt business practices. What Hunter Biden did in holding that press conference was worse than simply defying a congressional subpoena. Furthermore, he has not even been charged with insurrection by any legal authority, let alone convicted. This is a sham ruling that will encourage additional Fourteenth Amendment lawsuits in other states. The U.S. Supreme Court must intervene and overturn this ruling as soon as practical.”

I am appalled and outraged by yesterday’s indictment, which is now the fourth prosecution of Trump by Democrats. “There was nothing illegal in President Trump’s activities in Georgia. During the recount, the President rightfully pointed out irregularities in Georgia voting – irregularities confirmed directly from eyewitnesses, as well. When the president called the Georgia Secretary of State, he was asking Secretary Raffensperger to aggressively locate and weed out irregularities; he did not ask the Secretary to do anything illegal, either directly or indirectly. “When it comes to the issue of Georgia’s electors, this is another attempt by Democrats to criminalize the political process and to criminalize First Amendment protected speech. The Trump campaign had a right to organize his electors, which could be either accepted or rejected by the U.S. Congress, as specified in the Constitution. “This is the worst abuse of power in Georgia in my lifetime. The Biden administration’s ‘green agenda,’ which includes banning gas stoves, is an outrageous left-wing assault on everyday American life.
