ATLANTA, Ga. – Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund (TPPCF) Chairman Jenny Beth Martin released the following statement today congratulating Ron Johnson on his victory in the Wisconsin U.S. Senate race.

“On behalf of our millions of members and supporters, Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund congratulates Ron Johnson on his victory in the Wisconsin U.S. Senate race.

“Since Ron Johnson came to the Senate, he has fought for the Tea Party values of personal freedom, economic freedom, and a debt-free future. He has worked to defend and promote individual liberty and limited government, and he has always stood as a proud defender of our Constitution.

“Sen. Johnson is one of the few who has taken the time to learn about COVID-19 in depth. He opposed the mask and vaccine mandates, and fought to keep businesses and schools open. He used his knowledge of the rules of the Senate to force the clerk to read aloud the entire $1.9 trillion COVID-19 bailout pushed by the Biden Administration, so his fellow citizens would know exactly what was in it.

“He opposes the Biden Administration’s open border policies, and knows that the drug cartels’ control of that border means that lives are being destroyed – through human trafficking, importation of illegal drugs, and other associated crime. He wants to build the border wall and reestablish President Trump’s Remain in Mexico policy.

“As a businessman, Sen. Johnson knows how high taxes and heavy regulation can stifle economic growth and keep businesses from creating the kind of good-paying jobs we need. He has fought against the reckless spending that has created the worst inflation in 40 years.

“He opposes President Biden’s plan to have federal taxpayers pay off the student loan debt of millions. He said it is unfair to the families whose children did not go to college, and to those who have already paid off the loans they took out.

“We thank Wisconsin voters for making the right choice, and we look forward to working with Senator Johnson to promote and implement government policies that will enhance personal freedom and economic freedom, and lead to a debt-free future.”
