Atlanta, GA – Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund Chairman Jenny Beth Martin today released the following statement announcing the endorsement of Scott DesJarlais to represent Tennessee’s 4th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives:
“Scott DesJarlais came to Congress in the Tea Party wave of 2010 and has been a consistent conservative since arriving in Washington. He’s fought for fiscal discipline – he’s worked to cut taxes, reduce Washington’s reckless spending, and get our $40 trillion national debt under control.
“From the start, Scott has been a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.
“He’s worked for tighter border security and enhanced immigration enforcement.
“Scott is a strong supporter of the SAVE America Act, which requires states to obtain documentary proof of citizenship before registering a new voter.
“On behalf of Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund, I am pleased to endorse Scott DesJarlais for the U.S. House from Tennessee’s 4th congressional district, and I urge every voter there to make a plan to vote for Scott DesJarlais in the November 3 general election.”
