Atlanta, GA – Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund Chairman Jenny Beth Martin today released the following statement announcing the endorsement of Mark Harris to represent North Carolina’s 8^th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives:

“Mark Harris is North Carolina’s unwavering America First champion, and our grassroots activists and supporters appreciate him and his efforts on behalf of our shared Tea Party values – personal freedom, economic freedom, and a debt-free future.

“I first met Mark a dozen years ago, when he was running for the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate. I was impressed with him then, and even though he did not win that primary, I marked him as a leader with a future. And since he’s come to Congress, he has not disappointed.

“Mark is committed to fiscal discipline – to making government live within its means, to ending the Washington Swamp’s reckless spending, and to getting our $40 trillion national debt under control.

“Mark is a strong supporter of the SAVE America Act, which requires states to obtain documentary proof of citizenship before registering a new voter.
