Atlanta, GA – Today, a federal judge shot down the Justice Department’s request to pause an order limiting the Biden administration’s contact with social media companies. Following a lawsuit filed by Republican attorneys general alleging censorship of free speech, the administration now faces claims of using regulatory threats to coerce social media companies into removing content it disfavors. In response, Tea Party Patriots Action (TPPA) Honorary Chairman Jenny Beth Martin issued the following statement:

“Judge Doughty’s ruling is correct: The Biden Administration has consistently and illegally suppressed the First Amendment rights of everyday Americans and engaged in widespread censorship that must come to an end.  We applaud Judge Doughty for recognizing the unmistakable validity of the attorneys generals’ lawsuit and beginning the process of holding the administration accountable.”
