Strong Majority Support U.S. Military Action Against Iran

A new national poll conducted by McLaughlin & Associates on behalf of Tea Party Patriots Action and Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund found that a clear majority of general election voters support recent U.S. military action involving Iran and favor continued action to address threats posed by the Iranian regime. According to the survey, 57% of voters agree that military actions against Iran and its leadership were necessary and warranted to protect American lives now and in the future, reflecting broad support for a forceful national security response.

The poll also found that 59% of voters believe the United States must continue and “finish the job” to protect both America and its allies from future threats. Conducted among 1,000 general election voters, the survey carries a margin of error of ±3.1% at the 95% confidence interval, indicating that support for continued pressure on Iran extends beyond a narrow partisan margin and reflects a majority position among likely voters.
