Atlanta, GA – Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund Chairman Jenny Beth Martin today released the following statement announcing the endorsement of Tom Tiffany for Governor of Wisconsin:

“Tom Tiffany is the conservative champion Wisconsin needs to lead it into the future.

“As Governor, Tom will make Wisconsin proud. He’ll take Wisconsin back to prosperity, and he’ll work to make Wisconsin a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

“Tom lives by a set of commonsense values we share, and he’ll fight to make sure Wisconsin families that work hard and take responsibility for themselves will be able to get ahead. Families are required to live within their means, and he believes government should do the same.

“Tom understands the link between freedom and prosperity, between opportunity and outcomes. As an entrepreneur himself, he knows what it takes to build a successful business, and he knows how important government policies can be to the success – or failure – of businesses across the state. He’s worried that Wisconsin is now ranked as one of the ten worst states in the country to start a business, and he’s committed to changing that for the better.

“Tom knows that a low-tax environment is best – it’s best for individuals, who get to keep more of their hard-earned money and make their own decisions on how best to spend it, and it’s best for businesses, which can use the money they’re not paying the governments to hire new workers, give their workers raises, declare a dividend for shareholders, or invest it back into the business. He’s already committed himself to a property tax freeze, and he’ll work to reduce other taxes, too.

“And he’s not just making promises – he’s got a proven track record in the Congress of voting for lower taxes, to keep the weight of the government burden as low as possible.

“Tom knows that to get anywhere in life, a child first must get a good education – and he’s committed to improving educational outcomes in Wisconsin.
