Atlanta, GA – Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund Chairman Jenny Beth Martin today released the following statement announcing the endorsement of Andy Harris to represent Maryland’s 1^st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives:

“Andy Harris, Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, has been fighting for our shared Tea Party principles of personal freedom, economic freedom, and a debt-free future since he first came to the Congress following the Tea Party wave of 2010.

“Andy’s leadership of the Freedom Caucus has helped shape legislation coming out of the House of Representatives and pushed it in a more common-sense conservative direction – toward limited government and fiscal responsibility, with lower taxes and more opportunity.

“And Andy is a strong supporter of the SAVE America Act, which requires states to obtain documentary proof of citizenship before registering a new voter. When enacted, this law will become a critical component of election integrity.
