Immediately document the issue with as much detail as possible: When, Where, Who, What.
How did it impact voters, how long was the system down, what did the poll staff do to fix the issue, who was notified, when were they notified…
The person who witnessed the issue must be the person who reports the issue – directly!
Additional Resources
- Poll Manager: Depends on the issue and your rapport with the Manager.
- County Election Supervisor. They can talk to the Manager or send someone to the poll to address issues quickly.
- County Election Integrity team. If you have local support to help answer general questions, please call them vs the hotline. Save the Hotline to report immediate issues.
- Secretary of State Fraud Hotline 877-725-9797. If you witness voter fraud or voters being turned away, they can send a State Investigator to the poll location if needed.
- Submit Code Violations to the State Election Board: If there is a clear violation of GA Code, please complete this form: sos.ga.gov/how-request-investigation This is a longer process, but it puts the issue on record and the SEB can refer to the State Attorney General if warranted.
