Obamacare has failed to deliver on its promises. After years of claims that it would make health care more affordable, American families are instead facing higher premiums, fewer insurance options, and coverage that often falls short when care is needed most. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress doubled down on these failures by expanding Obamacare subsidies, pouring hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars into a broken system to mask rising insurance costs. The result has been widespread waste and abuse, including at least 160,000 Obamacare applications altered without authorization by insurance brokers or agents, while more than 1.5 million households earning 400% of the Federal Poverty Level received taxpayer-funded subsidies — even households making up to $600,000 a year.

Insurance companies have profited enormously, collecting hundreds of billions in taxpayer dollars while raising premiums, denying care, and making health care even more expensive. Now Democrats and several Republicans are pushing to make these so-called “temporary” COVID-era Obamacare subsidies permanent, driving our nation deeper into debt. After $1.3 trillion spent over ten years, Obamacare remains unaffordable — and another half-trillion dollars will not fix it. Call Congress now and demand an end to the wasteful COVID-era Obamacare subsidies.
