Happy 10th Anniversary to the Tea Party Movement!

2019 marks the 10th anniversary of the tea party movement – a movement started by ordinary Americans who were fed up with a government that had grown too big, too corrupt, and too reckless spending taxpayer money.

Despite President Obama, the media, and the professional left’s efforts to destroy us over and over (even weaponizing our own government against us!), we survived. And, as much as it enrages them, we still stand in their way as the elites in Washington continue to exploit the American people for political and financial gain.

This page will be the central hub for everything related to our 10 year anniversary – including tools and resources to stay engaged, opportunities to connect with Tea Party Patriots around the country, and special events. Check back often as we will update this page all year.

It was ten years ago today that the first nationwide tea party protest took place, as everyday Americans reacted to TARP (the Troubled Asset Relief Program) and the permanent bailout culture Washington, D.C. was advancing. On February 27, 2009, more than 35,000 people organized events in nearly 50 cities.

The movement grew quickly, as more and more Americans came to understand the truism that Washington’s solution– regardless of the underlying problem – is always more, and larger government.

Less than two months later, on April 15, 2009, a second round of rallies took place – this time in 850 cities, with more than a million protesters in attendance.
