TEA Party Patriots:
See the action request below from TEA Party Patriots. I have prepared a letter to Rep. Palazzo that I will be seeking 1,000 signatures from South Mississippi voters in which I convey the following to Steve. BTW, I have spoken personally with him about this on more than one occasion recently…apparently to no avail.
In short, the letter says this:
John Boehner MAY be a nice guy, but two things are obvious. First, he is NO CONSERVATIVE, he is another run of the mill politician more interested in party than in the People. Secondly, he will never have to be concerned by prostate disease because he seems to lack any testosterone, particularly when it comes to standing up to the Leftanistas. His words and actions of this week prove these facts…if there was any doubt about them in the first place. The letter advises Steve that if he is not seen a a VOCAL voice urging the replacement of Boehner as Speaker before the end of the year, I (along with many other Conservatives I have already met with in this regard) will make it our mission to PRIMARY PALAZZO IN 2014 AND WITH A CANDIDATE WHO HAS THE VALUES AND THE COURAGE TO STAND UP FOR CONSERVATIVE (COMMON SENSE) VALUES. And, no, it isn’t enough for him to give us lip service on phone calls. If he cannot or will not stand up to the never ending attack on Conservative values, he is as worthless to Conservatives in MS-4 as a refrigerator at the North Pole. Rep. Palazzo, as well as all of us, need to recognize that the Republican Party has become only minimally more acceptable to Conservatives than the Democrats. No longer should Rs be able to win elections simply because they are superficially less liberal than the Democrats. When this letter is finished, I will be asking for as many of you as possible to sign onto it. I am tentatively scheduled to be on Hannity’s radio show tomorrow between 2 and 4 PM (although his producer has made it clear that the events of the news cycle over the next 24 hours could force a change in this scheduling) to discuss this course of action and to see if there is any interest from Conservatives in other districts to take similar actions.
Personally, I like Steve Palazzo and truly believe he shares most of our values, but….one of two things has, or is going to happen. Either Steve and the other Conservatives in the House will stand up to the ”establishment elite of the Republican Party” and fight tooth and nail for our causes…the Nation’s causes…or they will become yet another edition of the endless ”typical career politicians” whose interests lie in their own political ambitions. Briefly, we need to see who our Congressman ”fears” the most….Republican Party elites…or the voters to whom they owe their own jobs. As a very wise high school principal used to say to the student body. ”This is not a threat…It’s a promise”.
Conservatism in our federal government is on life support. If we are okay with its extinction, we should do nothing and live our lives as far ”underground” or ”off the grid as possible”. Otherwise, the ball is in OUR court! Are we willing to stand for our values or have we, too, become so politically correct that we wouldn’t want to do anything that might not ”make friends” with the Leftists in the government and the media. In the final analysis, be ”popular” and being Conservative in this toxic environment that we have permitted to infest our Country are…well, mutually exclusive. Will we take a side and make a stand…or be subjected to whatever it is that the Progressives have turned the USA into??? I have made my decision…you?
Thanks for taking the time,
Tim
