Dear Lake County Tea Party Patriots: I have been in contact with the Mid-South Tea Party(Tennessee) and they have had a lot of success in having monthly general meetings. They have a core group that meets regularly to plan their actions. Their monthly GM is scheduled on the 3rd Thursday of every month. They plan out their GMs 3-4 months in advance so they have speakers pre-lined up, the venue pre-secured, and any advertising (mostly through social media) pre-formatted and deployed. The MAIN objective of their GM is to identify and recruit CORE TEAM members…their SECONDARY objective is to educate their members and call them to action. They have volunteered to travel to Lake County to speak at our first meeting. They have a presentation which is entitled ’Exercising Your Civic Authority’.
