I was born in High Point and grew up in Thomasville, NC. I own Thayercraft Inc in High Point NC selling composite materials with most of it being fiberglass cloth with some Spectra, Kevlar, carbon fiber and other reinforcements that are used by my customers in model planes, surf boards, circuit boards, gaskets, thermal barrier products, race cars, kayaks, boats and all sorts of items molded out of composites. I started in business in the early 80′s from nothing peddling fiberglass sign cloth out of a station wagon to operating out of a little 22×24′ dilapidated building and grew it to owning 7 acres and 400, 000 + sq ft building space here in High Point. I experienced business go from something fun to become something that has me feeling trapped like a slave to the government. It is just unreal how much of the company’s revenues now go to others that create absolutely nothing of real value for other humans. I have always thought a lot about freedom and how we’re rapidly losing it to a government that has little concern about anything except their own wealth and power and will do anything to keep it and keep growing government bigger and bigger. I am very thankful that there is the Tea Party movement that gives us some hope to getting America back to what it was meant to be. I am going to do my best to do my part in helping to bring back the freedom we were meant to have.
