Our Mission: Reverse deficit spending and the concentration of power in central government, in order to preserve states' rights and individual liberty for future generations. The Bellingham Tea Party is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to better government through education e.g., The 5000 Year Leap and other activities. Our goal is to help -- and to encourage -- citizens to learn about the founding principles, and become informed about the issues and the candidates, and get involved!

The federal government has usurped powers beyond those delegated to it by the Constitution. Our Goal: To restore and uphold the sovereignty and rights of the individual States as guaranteed by the tenth amendment of the United States Constitution, which states, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, OR TO THE PEOPLE."
