The Brooklyn Tea Party was founded and organized by John Press, who served as the president and leader. John led the Brooklyn Tea Party from its inception until February 2011. We are the Western New York, Buffalo area tea party group. In 2009, we coordinated and held the tax day tea party and the July 4 tea party in Buffalo. We worked to bring together all reform minded people and groups in the Western New York area, believing that the tea party movement is about we the people and not about individuals, and that ALL voices must be heard. We welcome all who wish to speak up and speak out about the need for reform in America to contact us and to participate in our tea parties and other events in the Western New York area.
