Pertaining to Islam.
Prior to the reformation, Europe was many nations, of catholic theocracy. While Catholicism is a far more peaceful faith , at its core, than Islam, the secular authorities of that era sought power , and used it unscrupulously.
With the reformation, the reformers found themselves with a price on their heads, so they curried favor with other secular authorities and the wars were on.
Only when Europeans emigrated and started a new nation was the ideal of a secular state possible. The caveat being that since it was started by various protestant groups, that recognition of the Creator was still a point of common recognition and that the primacy of natural rights was possible.
Islam has neither reached that point, nor does it intend to as long as the powers secular stupidly endeavor to recognize it with the ideals of the Christian faiths. It is a theocracy, always was and intends to stay that way. It has spread through the sword and holds the inherent arrogance to claim it has a duty to do so, it is seditious, not compatible with western ideology, and will be so until the secular authorities demand that if it wants to be a religion, it can act like one, until then it is not and cannot be recognized as such by authorities of good faith intending to maintain order and see to the common defense.
