Westwood Tea Party Patriots~ It's time to plant a Conservative flag in West Los Angeles! The Westwood Tea Party Patriots have led the way in multiple street rallies and hosting Tea Parties. Our first event was the No on Prop 1A Tea Party, held at the L.A. Federal Building on May 17, 2009. From there we paid a visit to Henry Waxman's office to protest Cap and Trade legislation. Next, we hosted the showing of the documentary "In The Face of Evil-Reagan's War in Word and Deed". Our next venture was paying a visit to Diane Feinstein's west L.A. office...an activity we've repeated three times since. In between visits to Feinstein's office, we counter protested Henry Waxman's Climate Change Forum held on the UCLA campus, hosted the Recess Rally and played an integral role in the 912 West Tea Party (both at the Federal Building).

Many of us no longer consider ourselves associated with either the Republican Party or the Democrat Party we are however Americans, concerned Americans. For too long we have voted for the lesser of two evils (Republican or Democrat candidates) and have been highly disappointed. It appears that our worst fears about politicians are all too true. A majority of Americans distrust politicians almost as much as they distrust Lawyers (sorry to my lawyer friends), if not more. Fact is many of the politicians are Lawyers! It is for this reason so many “Tea Party” movements were started. Let me be clear here; President G. W. Bush enlarged government as well as President B. H. Obama, they both raided the public coffers and added to the national deficit, neither listened to the American people. Our fight is not against any one man who happens to be the executive of our country; our fight is against those who would destroy the Republic given to us by our founding fathers. A grassroots movement to defend our freedom as Americans, and defend our constitution by fighting for Constitutionally limited Government.

The Web sites TMTParty.com, .org, .net and .info were developed for a group that spun-off of the Temecula Valley TEA Party, indicating they would like more activism. However, after one of the organizers used the blog to defame conservative candidate Rick Perry, the blog was frozen and the organizers have dissociated themselves from the site. It did not seem appropriate to have people calling themselves TEA Party organizers attempting to distance the TEA Party from conservative candidates. Temecula is in need of an active participating TEA Party but one that supports smaller government, lower taxes, fewer regulations on individuals and businesses as well as lower taxes. An appropriate site will be redeveloped and we will resume on the road to 2012.

If an Administration may with impunity ignore the issues upon which it was chosen, deliberately create a condition of war anywhere on the face of the globe, debauch the civil service for spoils to promote the adventure, organize a truth¬ suppressing censorship and demand of all citizens a suspension of judgment and their unanimous support while it chooses to continue the fighting, representative government itself is imperiled. We propose to contribute to the defeat of any person or party that stands for the forcible subjugation of any people. We shall oppose for reelection all who in the White House or in Congress betray American liberty in pursuit of un-American ends. We still hope that both of our great political parties will support and defend the Declaration of Independence in the closing campaign of the century. We have been feeling an increasing need to get more involved and get more informed so that we can promote the positive changes that need to occur to get this country back on the right track. We have researched the philosophy of the grass roots tea party movement and believe they provide a clear and concise model for promoting positive change. As defined in their mission statement, Our mission is to attract, educate, organize, and mobilize our fellow citizens to secure public policy consistent with our three core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government and Free Markets. We believe that this is a philosophy many Americans can unite behind regardless of political party. It is essential that we educate ourselves so that we can educate others and promote positive change. Groups of concerned citizens are forming all across the country to promote these basic values that our country was founded on. We believe that our power is in numbers and together we will have our voice heard. With the upcoming elections in November we have a perfect opportunity to educate ourselves about the candidates and support those that will work toward restoring our country to a constitutional footing. AVTPP is not affiliated with any PAC, lobbying group, or party, and will not endorse candidates for elected office, however, we will recognize those that ascribe to our core values of Fiscal Responsibility, Constitutionally Limited Government, and Free Enterprise. Emphasis must be placed on our belief that the founding fathers knew what they were doing before and during the formation of this great country and were divinely inspired with a vision and wisdom of foresight that clearly rest in the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and The Bill of Rights. It is with regret that we must include the Amendments to the Constitution beyond the Fifteenth Amendment and it is unfortunate that only one has been repealed (Eighteenth Amendment) since.
