I’m ashamed to admit that I’m a resident of New York State (the last ”red” guy in a ”blue” state).

Gov. Cuomo (”Prince Andrew”) has rushed a new gun law through the state legislature and King Barack is on the same path to restrict our 2nd Amendment rights on the Federal level. One of the key provisions discussed is that everyone who wants to own a firearm be subject to a background check. The New York State law and federal restrictions, if passed, will do nothing to prevent illegal behavior; it simply will restrict the rights of law abiding citizens, who have done NOTHING WRONG!

OK, Your Excellency and Your Majesty, how about this:

How about a background check being instituted for every person who:

    A) is listed on an election day ballot for ANY elected office, federal or state? We all should know for whom we are voting, correct? Might weed out the people who have criminal records, sex offenses, or questions regarding their citizenship; agree?

    B) how about a background check of all persons who wish to continue their voting privileges? There is so much uncertainty regarding voter fraud that this is a sound idea. This is a sensible step in ensuring that ALL PERSONS who participate in our elections are VALID, REGISTERED AMERICAN CITIZENS, EACH CASTING ONE VOTE. I’m tired of my legal vote being overridden by multiple illegal votes (persons voting x number of times; persons voting that are convicted felons, non-citizens permitted to vote simply because they have a pulse, etc.

Somehow, I doubt this will occur. I wonder why? Anyone else wonder why?
