The discussion will be based on the fundamental transformation outlined by Karl Marx and how it does or does not correlate with the one promulgated by Obama. The current discussion in Washington DC is what is a “fair share” for the “rich” to pay? We will discuss if the arguments of the left are lugubrious and if so why are they efficacious?
We will also ask and then discuss what a “fair share” is and who are the “rich”? History proves an increase in tax rates has never enhanced economic activity. Is the real reason for this argument of the Marxist/Progressives to promote the class warfare Marx said was essential in the transformation of society from a capitalist society based on individualism to a classless society based on community? Franklin Roosevelt said in an executive order on October 3, 1942, to bring about greater equality, the director is authorized to issue appropriate regulations so that income over $25,000 ($260,000 in today’s dollars) should be taxed at 100%. Is this taxation or confiscation? Is it fair and is the American dream based on equality or reward for effort, creativity and ingenuity?
This is an hour that will challenge everybody to begin to move from a state of self-imposed tutelage to one of enlightenment. Join me if you agree this is important for all Americans, right or left.
