It is time, and past time, when the GOP members of Congress, House and Senate alike, must stand up for this country, stand up for its people, and stand up for our Constitution. There is more than enough evidence of Obama’s many and continuing violations of the Constitution, his dereliction of duty, his utter disregard for separation of powers, to bring charges of impeachment against him. Let there be a full and fair hearing before the court of the American people, and there can be no doubt of the outcome. Obama’s presidency is the greatest threat to the existence of the United States since the Civil War. His policies are the greatest threat to the well-being of its citizens since the Great Depression.

How is it that we have come to this state of affairs? To be just to all, we must accept part of the blame ourselves. Until 2009, most people thought of their government, if they thought of it at all, as something to which they paid a minimum amount of attention once every four years. Such inattention allowed politicians of both parties to do as they pleased without thought of the consequences, whether immediate or long-term.

That time of inattention has passed. We have been awakened by events we never thought to see. We have been challenged and tested. In response, we have had an impact on the political process, we have started to change the course of affairs, but our work is far from done.

We must now engage in an all-out effort to bring down this president, end his presidency, and thereby save our country from ultimate doom. It is time to put an end to this affront to our country’s dignity, put an end to this attack on our freedoms and liberties, put an end to the decline of our position in the community of nations, put an end to the dangerous decline in our military preparedness.

This is the time for a full-out grassroots effort. This is the time to call, write, and meet with your Representative and Senators. This is the time to call for a full Congressional investigation. This is the time to insist upon the impeachment of Obama, to insist that he be driven from office in disgrace as he so richly deserves.

Let this be the moment we take back this blessed land of freedom and liberty, this land of patriots and heroes, of men and women who dared every danger to found a great nation out of a wilderness. Let us be as daring, show as much fortitude, exhibit as much persistence, and give as great service to our country as did they.
