I attended a webinar with ICLEI USA and World Wildlife Foundation today from 2pm-3pm. Weeeee sounds like great fun huh? This was a webinar entitled: Earth Hour City Challenge: Why Your City Should Participate & The Importance of Public Engagement. It is a program to allow cities to showcase to the world their accomplishments in addressing climate change. I could hardly contain my glee!!! There will be 3-5 grants awarded ($30-$100K) for each event. They want people to host public events and get participate support and involvement. The city that has the biggest, most active event will win the award. The award will be given out in March 2013. OF COURSE I HAD TO ASK QUESTIONS. Its the Anti Delphi in me!!

They provided an overview of ICLEI USA – so I asked: Aren’t you also involved in implementing Local Agenda 21. Of course he denied it. Then proceeded to give the history of A21. But denied they were implementing it all. He made it sound like it was just an old 20 year thing that happened and never quite picked up any speed in the USA. Lucky for him we could only ask questions by typing them in.

I asked who is funding the events and how much were the grant awards……….this is how I knew they were $30-$100K…..they didn’t divulge that information until asked. I also asked if there was any US government funding involved and she CURTLY responded NO.

I also challenged the climate change hoax. Of course they feel whether climate change is a hoax or not they must work to protect the cities from the devastation of the recent severe weather patterns we have been experiencing. So I can see the trend moving away from climate change and the human impact to climate change and how it is destroying our cities and we must build to protect people.

There was the Director of Sustainability from Tuscon that held one of these events and talked all about the visioning session they conducted and the wonderful positive results of their feedback from the citizens.

I also asked if there would be a list of cities that applied for the program. I was told yes. The website is: earthhourcitychallenge.org. It might be interesting to see how many cities apply. There were only 17 people on the call. Not a very impressive number of attendees.

This is in the Massachusetts curriculum and they have been teaching about the 10 Regions since 2003.

While MA is teaching there are 10 regions (Nixon divided the country into 10 regions each with a capitol state – metro regions) there is a website that shows 11 megaregions with transportation maps. Land outside the transportation grid is where they will target to move folks from the rural area near the transit centers. This is why they are pushing highspeed rail. To join the megaregions. Just another handout to illegals. Our borders are not protected and it is on purpose. Open borders is part of Agenda 21. We are not only opening our borders to them we are providing a very nice lifestyle for them. Future Democrat voters (of course most are already voting)
