I was asked what the real Democratic Party was like, so I looked these items up; The Democratic Party backed the KKK, and it did create the Jim Crow Laws. It also resisted the move to end Slavery, and that was the Reason the Republican Party broke off from the Democratic Party in the 1850’s over the slavery issue.
