It was almost one year ago to date, that myself and Americans across the Country were sitting in their living rooms yelling at their TV sets in frustration. First because of a vote in favor of a $700 Billion bailout, under Bush. And then a $787 billion dollar Stimulus package, under Obama. Then continued spending for Omnibus, cap & trade, Cash for clunkers, and so on and so on! We the People of Lackawanna county, Northeast Pennsylvania, and Across America, were fed up with this out of control spending, as well as the biased MSM not reporting on our anger over it. Until, that is, Rick Santelli's Rant heard round the world! No longer are we sitting in front of our TV sets yelling! No longer are we feeling all alone in our frustration! We have joined Americans from across the Country through a Grassroots movement called the "Tea Party" which is like none other! Republicans, Democrats, Independents, Libertarians, etc. have made their voices heard and proclaimed that we are not going to take it anymore! Since the media wouldn't report it, we were forced to "take it to the streets" and proclaimed it loud and clear! We even Marched on Washington, almost 2 Million of us!

The Elk County Tea Party Chapter is a nonpartisan group, dedicated to individual freedoms and liberties. The group defends and upholds an individuals Right to Life, Liberty, And the Pursuit of Happiness, and that these are unalienable Rights endowed by our Creator. Furthermore, the Elk County Tea Party Chapter believes, that individual freedoms and liberties can only be sustained by individual responsibility.

Purpose: To bring public attention to what is in the HR 3200 Bill, how the government wants access to your checking account, large Medicare cut backs and how the impact of the bill will destroy small business by forcing health care on all employees! We will protest any public government Czar run healthcare, special health care plans for unions and congress people! We are all to be equal! We will take donations and/or you can order copies of the Liberty Counsel reports and/or the three reports published by the Heritage Foundation and/or all literature being read. You can sign petitions and/or write a letter right there and we will deliver them to Specter and Altmire’s office. Bring letters from your family, friends and neighbors if they are unable to attend. Our mission is the restoration of the United States of America to a constitutional republic and for the return of power to the states and the people as envisioned by the Nations Founders and outlined in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution.

We are a group of ordinary American citizens who come from all stations in life. Some of us have young families, while others have teens or grown children. Some are retired while others work in varied fields including retail, manufacturing, finance, technology, teaching, etc. Many are small business owners or homemakers. Likewise, some come from a religious heritage, while others do not. But ALL of us have come together to make a statement in Southern Chester County. The time for watching our founding principles treated as irrelevant in political life is over. These principles are disappearing rapidly from political life and American culture. It is time for like-minded citizens to unite and work together to restore the principles and values that have made America great.

Headquartered in Uniontown, PA (established on July 4, 1776!), Fayette Patriots serves all of Fayette County. We are associated with the Tea Party Patriots and have been organized to answer the call to patriotism at this most desperate time for America, the nation we love.
