URGENT ACTION ALERT: Fellow patriots tomorrow the House will be voting for the Speaker of the House. They can do so in one of two ways. A secret ballot (allows for a vote of confidence) or a roll call vote (a-z stand up and tell aloud your choice).

We MUST Call Congress Tonight and until tomorrow morning before noon.

Tomorrow the 113th Congress will be sworn in and we need your help tonight and into the morning to help us push for a secret ballot when they elect the Speaker of the House. The House is set to meet at 12 noon tomorrow, so we need to make as many calls between now and then as possible.

Why? In 2010, we helped usher in one of the biggest shifts in political power in modern American history. Unfortunately, due to years and years of establishment rule making set only to protect the leadership in both parties, much of the political power that we sent to Washington was squandered by establishment types blackmailing, bullying, and bribing rank-and-file members to go along to get along.

We have seen this recently with the purging of fiscal hawks from key committee positions and we will continue to see it so long as leadership has the ability to count heads of those who simply have stronger principled conviction.

Your Representatives deserve to be able to vote their conscience without fear of retribution from leadership. We know it is getting late, but call your representatives tonight and first thing in the morning to urge them to push for a secret ballot to elect the Speaker of the House. You deserve it and your Representative deserves it!
