The Montana Shrugged Group is a grassroots TEA Party organization located in Billings, Montana. If you are as concerned as we are with higher taxes, higher energy costs, higher gasoline prices, nationalized health care, higher unemployment rates and infringements on your rights to freedom of speech and right to bear arms, then you are a candidate to join up with us and attend these Rallies. So, saddle up your horse and come on by. We are seriously concerned about these radical issues coming out of Washington D. C. They are going to seriously impact our standard of living and our independent freedoms. We have, as part of our charter, the ambition to educate the children and others about the Constitution of the United States and the Declaration of Independence. Our forefathers fought hard to defeat the tyranny of the King and setup a new world here which was free from the excessive controls of the aristocracy in England. Our grandfathers, fathers, sons and daughters still risk their lives to preserve the inalienable freedoms given to us by the Constitution. It is time for action.

We formed in November of 2009 and currently have monthly meetings with an average attendence of about 50 - 60. We have a strong leadership committee and have been very active in our local and State government.

Gathered together to inform the people of what is going on in our government and to engage themn in action that will help restore our republic through active participation in government.

A few of us had been thinking about starting a Tea Party for some time but never seemed to get around to it. It was a primary election and how that election was conducted that made us realize we could no longer sit on the side-lines complaining about how our government is out of control. It was time to get up and get involved. The Wheatland County Tea Party was born on the Fourth of July 2010. It is our goal to work in the best interest of our community and America by keeping a close eye on how our elected officials are conducting their (our) business. If citizens do not wake up, our children's future will be bleak. This country is broke and there is no end in sight, to the out of control spending.

We are grassroots activists in Sanders County, Montana united by our shared core values of Constitutionally-limited government, fiscal responsibility including balanced budgets and deficit reduction; and a strong belief in free market principles. We believe in a strong military, in defending state\'s rights and state sovereignty. We are affiliated with Montana State Tea Party Coalition and the nationwide Tea Party Patriots organization. We advocate smaller government, a government that serves us only with those purposes expressly stated in the Constitution. We advocate less spending, a balanced budget, more states’ rights, free market. This group is created for the purpose of providing a place for citizens concerned about fiscal responsibility and limited government to gather virtually and in person for the purpose of sharing ideas and communicating with elected officials and the general public about matters of concern.

The Bozeman Tea Party is dedicated to inspiring Montanans to help restore the Constitutional Republic. We hold large freedom rallies and protest events. Our group has done toe-to-toe with the SEIU and AFL-CIO when Obama visited in August 2009 promoting healthcare reform. We've rallied over 2,000 people on July 4 (from a town whose population is 35,000. We've taken on the critics, the leftists and those woh would try to co-opt us. We've also helped organizes statewide meetings.
