Illinois TPP members should be aware of a recent bill that our state legislators passed late last year, almost unanimously, to allow municipalities to attach any debts owed to them by Illinois taxpayers, to pending state tax refunds and possibly other payments due to the taxpayer from the State. The EXTREMELY SAD story here is that NO ONE except Representative Nybo voted to protect the taxpayers from this new power to grab assets from citizens.
