Hi,

This Wednesday, July 4th, while we celebrate our Independence, will people know what it is really about? Do they know that we celebrate July 4th because it was the day that Congress ratified the text of the document that propelled our forefathers to action, to free us from tyranny?

Many of us are promoting the reading of the Declaration of Independence, July 4th, at your picnics, family & friends gatherings, etc. It is funny how, for many, it is a tradition to read the book “Tis The Night Before Christmas”, but people feel squeamish to read the document that set the course for the greatest country in the world to take shape. It is time for us to all pick up the Declaration of Independence, read it to our family, and understand it’s meaning.

So please join all of us, across the nation, who will be holding a reading of the Declaration of Independence…and as the song goes…”teach your children well”.
