Harvard University Tea Party is a student group at Harvard Kennedy School of Government, founded by Lucas H. Scanlon. Everyone is welcome to attend our events! We hold monthly meetings and are active in our community. Our purpose is to provide a platform for discussion and action about the need for constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility, and free markets, as they were outlined in the Constitution, Bill of Rights and Federalist Papers. The Harvard Tea Party will also focus on how these issues impact the present-day economy and how members can be active in the community. 1. Our meetings are to educate our community about limited government, fiscal responsibility and free markets as they are outlined in the Constitution, Bill of Rights and Federalist Papers. 2. We are to take the truth that we have learned and be an active, responsible, member of our community. 3. We are a bipartisan group and candidates/elected officials are welcome to speak at our events, but we will not endorse a candidate or elected official. 4. We are Pro-Israel in our efforts and we recognize her as a nation. The USS Constitution is our mascot because the ship represents a new era of maintaining the freedom won after the American Revolution and that is what our Tea Party is doing.
