I am proud to be an American. The liberties and freedom that we enjoy every day should not be taken for granted. The events of today have served to show us how divided we are as a nation. The pledge of alligence states that we are ”One nation under God indivisible”. By following leaders that have led us away from God, we have become a house divided against itself. Jesus said that house cannot stand. We are deceiving ourselves if we don’t consider the consequences of our actions. It is becoming more evident each day that the liberties and freedom that we have are quickly being taken from us. That is what is promised to the nations that forget God. A statistic that stood out to me tonight showed that 61% of Romney supporters attend church regularly while 62% of Obama supporters NEVER attend church. It should come as no surprise that the hearts of people would desire to h
ave a godless leader. Because they have rejected the statues of God and have not glorified God as God, but have become wise in their own deceit, God allowed them to believe a lie and gave them over to a reprobate mind. The results of this election, however, do not have any influence on those who are in the kingdom of God. For in the kingdom of God, we have not chosen Him but rather He chose us. He gave His life so that we might have life and that more abundantly. If in this life only we had hope, we would be miserable as many other people are tonight. But thanks be unto God who, unlike our politicians, had a plan to redeem us from a life of hopelessness and made a place for us in His kingdom. Citizenship in God’s kingdom is given to those who are willing and obedient to His perfect way. As citizens of the kingdom of God we have received great and precious promises from our God that cannot lie and who has the ability to keep His promises. It is my pleasure to serve as an ambassador for His kingdom. If you have become disheartened by what this life offers and you are ready to trust in someone who desires the best for you, I recommend that you seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. In His kingdom there is fullness of joy and at His right hand there are everlasting pleasures. Jesus, you reign forever! King of Kings!
