Jefferson commented on the post, Two strikes against President Obama’s “recess” appointments 5 days, 22 hours ago
The Court’s don’t control any troops, why should anyone listen to them?
I find it astounding that Congress didn’t recognize that the President had violated the Constitution. It seems clear enough.
When the […] -
Jefferson commented on the post, Senator Elizabeth Warren asks the right question 5 days, 22 hours ago
I don’t think that’s the right question at all.
It’s government meddling (regulating) in the financial industry which has concentrated our banking into five mega-banks.
Cronyism between the government and the […] -

Jefferson commented on the post, The practical impact of the IRS scandal 1 week, 1 day ago
I suppose the Republicans are thinking these scandals will enable them to “take power” during the next election cycles.
Could they also be thinking that THEY would really like to have all the power that has been […] -

Jefferson commented on the post, IRS taking heat from both sides of America 1 week, 2 days ago
Has the IRS applied the same standards to all the lefty “progressive” organizations applying for tax exempt status?
We can either have equality under law, or a government of men. Right now, we have the latter.

Jefferson commented on the post, IRS taking heat from both sides of America 1 week, 2 days ago
If we simply returned to a government limited by the Constitution, we would, once again, have no direct taxes that were not apportioned, and no Indirect taxes that were not uniform.
it’s even better than fair.

Jefferson commented on the post, IRS taking heat from both sides of America 1 week, 2 days ago
Do you think the Tea Party is devoting too many resources to the story of the IRS being used as a political arm of the Executive?
I don’t know why anyone would think that. I can’t see it.
What we have is the […]

Jefferson commented on the post, 3 scandals and 3 scandals-in-waiting: The Obama Administration’s very bad week 1 week, 2 days ago
This is just the way governments of men operate. Always have, always will.
Good thing we have a government of law, created and authorized by the Constitution.

Jefferson commented on the post, HHS Secretary Sebelius looking for private donations to fund Obamacare 1 week, 2 days ago
Is there a quid pro quo, or will this be more of a shakedown operation?
Let me guess. The health industry is heavily over regulated, large parts of it are directly under government control.
Health care […] -
Jefferson commented on the post, Axelrod says government too vast 1 week, 2 days ago
Ha Ha.

Jefferson commented on the post, President Obama “working around Congress” on gun control 1 month, 2 weeks ago
We don’t need a bill of rights. We already have a Constitution that grants specific, limited and enumerated powers to the national government, while reserving all other powers to the States and the People.

Jefferson commented on the post, President Obama “working around Congress” on gun control 1 month, 2 weeks ago
You didn’t know the electoral process is rigged?
“We” didn’t vote Obama into the Presidency.
Somewhere around 30% of the eligible electorate actually voted for Obama. The rest either voted for someone else, or […] -
Jefferson commented on the post, “Just voting ‘No’” isn’t what the Tea Party does 2 months, 1 week ago
Obama’s progressive ideas deserve opposition, because they are bad ideas.
I don’t think any of them are Obama’s anyway, they’ve all been around for a very long time. Long enough in fact that all of them have […] -
Jefferson commented on the post, Tea Party Patriots apologizes to Karl Rove for Inappropriate Portrayal 3 months ago
Sequestration? That’s old news. They knew it was coming ever since they passed the law requiring it, more than a year ago. It’s a smokescreen.

Hellfire,
Some Americans ARE nazis, some with a capital N. I don’t think Rove is one of them.
What’s ignorant and wrong is characterizing someone as a Nazi when they aren’t… didn’t Nancy Pelosi refer to Tea […] -

Your right Hellfire, bad governments do exactly that, and they destroy freedom and hobble economic growth.
