That is all I hear about in the US news coming from the Middle East apart from Syria.

Let me give you a different perspective on the issue. The real cold desert war in the Middle East is the Arab Gulf States vs Iran and the Shites. Israel is a sideshow. None of the Arab Gulf States worry about Israel.

Iran propaganda is all about the "Jews" in order to rally the most illiterate, uneducated, economically backward, and religious Muslims in the Middle East to their cause. Given the state or emphasis of real education, that is a lot of the population, sadly.

The truth is, Israel is not on the front of this cold war battle. Iraq, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar are. What they are doing to hold back or sabatoge the Iranians is not being reported in the US or Western news outlets.

For Iran to attack Israel, they have to send missiles over the above countries. That is never going to happen.
For Israel to attack Iran, They need to have permission or agreements from more than one of the above nations to do it. It is possible, but doubtful.

However, if Israel does strike militarily, it will not be a unilateral decision. Israel would of come into some agreement with those Nation States on the front line of this cold war in order to do so.

Having begun the show, the Syrian people are now tossed to the side as slaughter .

The Assad regime are openly supported by Iranian militias who probably are doing most of the massacres.

As this war drags on, The Sunni side will attract and bring more Religious Muslims who follow strict Shari law. They will force illiteracy and destruction upon a very educated, balanced, and free people.
