Following is the attached correspondence that I sent to my
Congressional Representative Platts on 24 Dec 11, not a lot of reading:

Honorable Representative Platts,

I wish to thank you for what you have done for me in the past, however, I
want you know how I feel about are current Representation in Congress and my
”State of the Union”.

Over the years I’ve been told if you’re not part of the solution, then
you’re part of the problem. Personally I want you to be part of the
solution. I think this means are elected Representatives stand up and take
the burden of giving the truth and bad news to the American people; and make
the long needed changes that are required, starting with Social Security and
Illegal Aliens. Social Security will not be there for the younger
generation, and in all likelihood it will just be providing money to support
people who don’t want to work, or never worked. Then if Congress and entire
Government continue to tell us or me there are twelve million illegal aliens
in this Nation my head will burst. Have you thought about this? That
figure has been thrown around since the 1990’s. I would have to say that
number has increased by ten million by now. You see I’ve traveled all over
this Country and from lack of enforcement, are people have lost a lot of
work. Even here in Cumberland County. I saw crews, contracted by Verizon
from Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona, laying unground cable. The only ones
who spoke English were the Supervisors, and the construction industry is
even more inundated. Also, since I’ve had the privilege to work at all
levels of our Government I am filled with the changes that are required
throughout. Most of it boils down to Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Honesty,
Integrity, and Personal Courage, and acronym (LDRSHIP) that I lived and I
taught my children.

So Sir, I will close this so as not to sound like just a disgruntled person
that is dismissed as a loon.

I sent this entire correspondence to my friends both local, Stateside, and
Worldwide. I do not think that I am the only citizen that feels this way.

Get out and VOTE that is the only way Americans Citizens have to bring
about reform.

I think this is an idea the American people could get behind, push, and
demand that Congress adopt without future changes; or vote everyone out of
office, every year, until we find citizens that love this Great Nation
enough, to save the United States from the continuing greed and taxes heaped
on the Nation.

Pass on if you agree or sat back and keep complaining about Politicians ,
crooks, and lairs. Get out and VOTE that is the only way Americans can
bring about change.

_*Congressional Reform Act of 2011*_

1. No Tenure / No Pension.

A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay
when they’re out of office.

2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security
system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system,
and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for
any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans
do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.
Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the
same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American
people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective
1/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with
Congressmen/women.

Congressmen/women made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in
Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen
legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to
work.

THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!……

Pass on if you want, a lot of the narrative beyond what the proposed act
reads, are my thoughts. As you can sent this entire Act and narrative to my
Congressman.
