    OPEN LETTER TO MITT ROMNEY
    Monday, June 11, 2012
    Dear Mitt,
I am in receipt of your (ahem) PERSONAL letter soliciting a contribution to the RNC. I regret that I won’t be sending any money and, further, have cautioned my many friends to NOT SEND THE RNC A NICKLE. If you’d like to know why – and you probably don’t — READ ON.

Over the years – when, to steal a line from Billy Joel, I wore a younger man’s clothes – I was involved with several pretty solid conservative candidates for Congress. One was a Democrat (Lawrence Patton McDonald) – because that was the only way he could win in that district. Those old-timers who know Larry’s record will tell you that he was a solid an anti-communist America Firster and more Republican than the Pubbies in nearby districts at the time. (His mother’s cousin was General George Patton from whom he got the middle name – and his incredible resolve and love of this country.) How ironic that he, like General Patton, was also assassinated by the communists they both despised.

Those other candidates ran as Republicans. Because I was a rabid Bircher back then (still am philosophically!), those candidates had to pass my rigid litmus test or I went looking for someone who did. For that reason, I hooked up with what the TRADITIONAL country club Pubbie establishment types believed were too radical for their refined tastes.

As those campaigns began to unfold and it became clear to the country clubbers that these guys 1) had a shot and 2) were pretty independent thinkers who would be hard to keep on the reservation once they got sworn in, the local Pubbies communicated that information to the Republican National HQ types who rather quickly sent in campaign “professionals” ostensibly to lock up the impending victory.

Instead, in nearly every case to which I was privy, these “professionals” proceeded to TORPEDO our guy’s campaign in subtle but effective ways.

TWO of those candidates were your fellow Mormons who loved this nation as much as I do and ran for office to attempt to prevent the disaster now upon us.

From that experience I can tell you that the Establishment Pubbies at the HQ in D.C. would rather have a Democrat win a given district than have a Pubbie up there who would embarrass them by refusing to follow the party line.

If YOU become involved in campaigns for solidly conservative, America and Constitution loving, hard-nosed, independent thinking candidates in 2012 and beyond – and I pray many of you do — please DO NOT trust any of those folks from GOP HQ in Washington. If they want to send you no-strings cash for your campaign, take it. If, however, they “suggest” sending in one of their “professionals,” tell them to fuggetaboutit.

They ARE WHO GOT US INTO THIS MESS AND THEY ARE NOT YOUR FRIEND!!!!

”The common and continual mischief of the spirit of Party is sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it.” G. Washington

    Regards,

So, what are your intentions for the November election?

Your] misunderstand. I have NO intention of voting for Obozo. I will vote for Romney. That said, I will WATCH HIM LIKE A HAWK and give him hell if he strays off the farm as I expect him to as the K Streeters and others go to work on him. AND SO SHOULD YOU!
What I perceive to be the major difference between Obozo and Romney is that Obozo a]is a committed socialist ideologue and cannot b deflected from his prime directive of destroying this country and leveling us with the turd world for Soros’ One World Government utopia. As Romney has displayed SEVERAL positions on multiple issues over the years, at least he can be steered to where we want him if we put enough pressure on him.
If this country and system are to be saved, the days of voting for a guy then going back to sleep are over. The election is just the BEGINNING of the process!
And you can bet I WILL NOT be supporting the RNC: They are virtually indistinguishable from the DNC at that level.
Old Everett Dirksen had it right: ”When the feel the heat, they see the light.”
The other work we MUST do is put enough decent folks on Jenkins Hill (that bump on the east end of the mall) to keep old Mitt moving in the right direction. In fact, those elections are more important than the presidential beauty contest if we’re ever to take back all the UNCONSTITUTIONAL authority previous congresses have shipped to 1600!

Does that mean you intend to vote for Obama either directly, not voting, or by voting for a third party?

        Mc,
        See my response to Michael.

I think there are few Tea Partiers that are very happy about Mitt Romney’s success. We certainly know he is a far cry from the conservative candidate we wanted. We have been through the fight and watched the power of the Republican Party shove Romney to the front. Ok, so he’s our man and now it is time to ramp up and steer all our energy and passion toward Romney. It will take every ounce, every bit of passion we did have for others to now get Romney elected. We must step back and look at the amazing accomplishments of the Tea Party, especially in the 2010 election, the Scott Walker success and more. We can’t achieve everything we want all at once. Tea Party has only been around less than four years. But just saying we’ll vote for Romney isn’t nearly enough. We MUST work as hard for Romney as we did for congressional seats in 2010 – or he won’t win. We’'re up against huge forces and they are planning and conspring, as we speak, with, as we know, no morals, no scruples and no respect for the law or American values. They will do absolutely anything to keep Obama in office. It’s time to put all our energy and attitude toward Romney. I don’t think puting up negative comments like your Open Letter will do anything but possibly lose votes. We cannot afford that. I commend you on your history and your analysis may be accurate, but it’s time to support the team.

There’s a memorable line from the flick ”The Untouchables” that keeps coming back to me. Near the end the judge’s chamber’s during the Capone trial, Ness remarks ”I have become what I beheld but I am content that I have done right.”
In 20 years, I won’t be here, but, God willing, my 6 grandkids will. I pray that those of you still in the fight can feel good doneabout what had to do to be to save this nation.
I say that because I have old friends who have never uttered a conspritorial word in their lives who firmly believe that Obozo is moving us to a point where nothing less than another of Mr. Jefferson’s tree refreshing endeavors is all that will turn it around.
I pray they are wrong as I fear the second will NOT turn out as well as the first.

Dick, the second has already started back in 2010 and the 2nd Civil war has been engaged. the difference is they will be waged at the ballot boxes and in the courts first and foremost. I also pray that it only has to go that far. The people are waking up, Wisconsin proves that. I only hope that enough of them have woken up to carry the day in November because if they don’t we don’t stand a chance of winning. I am also afraid of Soros pulling a Kennedy on Obama for the sympathy vote and Biden is as lackluster and opinionated as Johnson was. Look what happened to the Country then.
