Agenda 21 briefing for Georgia state legislators
January 26, 2012
1:00 – 2:00 PM
Capitol Room 230
Speaker: Victoria BaerContact your Georgia State Representative to attend the Agenda 21 briefing at the Capitol:
We are calling for the repeal of the Transportation Investment Act of 2010 (TIA). That law is a complete reorganization of our government and is patterned after Agenda 21, with appointed Regional governance and top-down control. Not only does the TIA violate the home rule provisions of the GA Constitution, it proposes the largest tax increase in Georgia history – potentially a 96% increase in transportation tax. It must be repealed in this legislative session.
We are also calling for the repeal of the Agenda 21 Sustainable Agriculture law (HB 225) that passed in the last day of the last legislative session. Let our elected officials know we want these bad laws repealed NOW!
