MLK was a republican and the civil rights movement was pushed by majority republicans as they were fighting DIXIECRATs, Southern democrats, such as gov. wallace. It was the right thing to do supporting cival rights so the difference is supporting the 2nd ammendment would be the right thing to do. They will get refusals to follow orders and legal opposition and meet people who are willing to defend their right to have and bear arms.
Gun confiscation would be government declaring war on its own civilians with soldiers unwilling to or unhappy about doing corrupt things to its fellows. It would be as sad and unsuccessfull as Prohibition

The failed arguement that hunters dont need 30 round clips fails to mention self defence that is so obviously needed on our southern borders by landowners who dont have time to wait for federal or state agents when threatened on their own property by crowds of illegals numbering more than the proposed number of shots to be allowed( 3 )in a hunting riffle. The other failed arguements are the rights were restricted after the cival war doesnt mention the only ways to get fresh meat at the time was to hunt it with a rifle or farm it.Farmers hunted then too for variety. refridgeration didnt always exist nor were grocery chains on the prairies with the outlaws.GOD MADE THE USA. GUNS MADE THE USA FREE AND GUNS WILL KEEP THE USA FREE as long as they can be owned by the freewilled responsable Godfearing gunowners!!!!!
