My response is:
I view Hawaii as part of the United States of America even though it is attached, in words, in an interesting way. So, it appears you are interested, to some degree, in splitting hairs. University of Hawaii, Oahu is my old stomping ground between missions to Nam, thanks to one very special Captain of a Destroyer Tender that stayed tied up at Ford Island 10-11 out of 12 months a year. He set it up so I could attend and while I was away on missions, the University would hold missed studies for me while away, assuming I would return alive and then I would play catch-up, which obviously I did return alive, but thanks only to one hell-of-a-lot of my friends who did not.
