While OBVIOUSLY they won’t do anything in response to this petition, the need to SAY something potentially creates a problem for them, because they have to ADMIT that armed guards ARE useful, and they potentially have to admit that the lives of the ”elite” are somehow more valuable than the lives of the peasants
